Many of our customers are engaged in Lean Management, Operational Excellence or Total Production Management. Often, an important success factor for these projects, namely a “suitable” shift model, is disregarded. Making a shift model flexible is essential to achieving strategic, “leaner” goals. The aim is not to reduce capacities, but always to develop headcount planning that is better geared to actual requirements, including the necessary qualification concepts. This means ensuring production availability efficiently i.e., at optimally balanced costs and with appropriate headcount levels any time.
